Wow, Google is becoming harder and harder to avoid…
Google just aquired YouTube for $1.65 Billion in stocks. There goes one of my time killers. Some of you might already know that I’ve been boycotting the big “G” since I found out about the whole Google-China censorship ordeal. Eventually this whole boycott will become pointless because according to MacRumours.com, apparently APPLE is in talks with Google about streaming video for their upcoming iTV…

I have an Apple computer. I need my computer to make a living. I need to make a living to provide for my family. Needless to say, I’m not prepared to not make a living for my family. At some point I’m going to be using Google services — directly or indirectly — whether I want to or not. I’m sure I’m using their services indirectly right now, just uncertain as to where or how.

It seems as though the entire internet world is caving in and coming together to form one big piece of… Google-gunk. I don't have a problem with it (right now) but I can understand why you do. The politics of everything always seem to get in the way, even when it's something like the internet.

Unicorn: Thanks for your thoughts. I’ve actually been doing a bit of reseach into Macs vs PC for work and have been finding that they both have their strengths but Macs tend to be better for deadline driven industries — which I am in. Macs allow you to open and see the contents of multiple folders in a single window. PCs cannot. Plus, Macs allow you to select and open any number of different files from those folders in a single window. PCs cannot. I’ll stick with my Mac because I don’t necessarily want to be like the rest of the world.Thanks again for your comment Unicorn but sadly, PCs suck. Macs do not.Lauren: “BOO”… thanks for the heads-up. There's no escaping the big "G"….but we all admire your efforts. ;-)Neither PCs nor Macs suck…it just depends on how you use it and for what kind of work you need it for.
