Alright… after my [in hindsight] slightly pretentious previous post…
I had uploaded other images as well but, for some reason, VOX kept rotating them back to their original orientations. That was annoying… I’ll try again later when my computer isn’t downloading 100’s of MB of software updates and my already non-high-speed internet connection isn’t as slow as molasses in the dead of Canadian winter. In the mean time, here are the boys.

My son loves all of these books. Gossie is a book he used to want read to him every night when he was wee. There are so many others too; however, I’ve realized that one of VOX’s shortcomings is that there is no real way to find great Canadian Books! Anything by Robert Munsch is a must.
Vox Hunt: I Love Logo
Show us a logo you really love.
In my humble/professional opinion, these two logos are among the best I have ever seen. At the very least they are at the top of my list.
The WWF logo (no, not the World Wrestling Federation)…
Not only do I believe what this organization stands for, I LOOOOOOVE their logo. I think it’s a wonderful balance of positive and negative space — Oh. My. Yes. The negative space. It’s simply not that easy to create a logo that relies so heavily on negative space that reads as well as this one does.
Mother & Child, by Herb Lubalin…
What can I say… I know I posted this one before but I’m just blown away by it every time I see it. This Mother & Child was a logo for a magazine that has never been published. It was designed by Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase in 1965. And remember, back then it would have been DRAWN BY HAND.
