Bald works well on you, are the kids upset by it at all? When I was about 2-2.5 my dad shaved his beard off and I would not go anywhere near him until it grew back.
Semblance: Thanks! Ha… I was pretty sure I’d be getting a positive response from you. 😉 I’m glad you like it… although, I’m pretty sure I’m going to grow it back. I’ve always wanted to do it and now I have. Ladyshark and I have agreed that though it may “look good”, it’s not steelie enough… I find it makes me look older. Plus, when I’m tired, it seems to reeeally show. Of course, this doesn’t mean I won’t do it again.Jen: Thanks. As silly as this may sound, it felt kinda like a brave-ish decision… I really didn’t have a clue what my head would look like completly bald. I’ve had it buzzed down to a 1/4" before but people always told me that you just never know unless you go all the way to the scalp. I can rest easy on that one now… so now, if I ever do go bald I already know I’ll be fine.BTW: I’m much prettier than Brittany. No? ;)Keylime: Thanks for the compliment. As I mentioned to Semblance, my wife and I have agreed that while it doesn’t look bad, it’s just not me.Good question about the kids! I had shaved it Wednesday night after everyone else had gone to bed, so no one saw it until next morning… except for Little “L”. I had brought him into bed with us in the middle of the night and a couple of hours later he was stirring next to me and openned his eyes. He said, “Hi Daddy. Hi Daddy. Hi Daddy. Hi Daddy. Hi Daddy…” He does this when he knows that he knows someone but that something about them is not right (like at daycare on Hallowe’en one of the caretakers dressed up, “Hi Nadine. Hi Nadine. Hi Nadine. Hi Nadine. Hi Nadine…). So, I started talking to him to reassure that it was me, then I took his hand and rubbed it on my head so he could see what I had actually done. He eventually smiled, closed his eyes and fell back asleep. The next morning, Baby “X” just looked at me terrified — like he was going to cry — until I got down next to his crib and started talking to him. Then he started cooing almost right away.Gardeningmouse: Ha! I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about… at least, not this short, anyhow. He’s first got to try buzzing it remember? 😉 Tell him I’m going to let it grow back in… and that if does decise to do it to wait until it’s not so cold.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm lauging soo hard! That's the funniest thing I've heard about little L's talking habits!! I had no idea he did this!! It's soooo funny (and I wonder why he does it?? Kid logic fascinates me)! And baby X! Oi! That must have hurt your heart at first! I can't imagine what it would be like to know that your child fears you…I can see why you would grow it back. I think it's a good idea too. But at the same time, it sure must be nice to be free of hair hassles. Some days I wish I wasn't a girl with any amount of vanity or I'd be bald too! I was pretty close to bald years ago (when we first met, or in and around that time) but I could never do that again. I'm too much a girlie now ;)Don't let your brain get cold!
Oh….can't wait to see it!
AWESOME! Looks good on you my dear! (but I'm biased — I like bald men!)
Wow! That was a brave decision. But you look good — much better than Brittney. 🙂 How'd Little L like it?

Oh great… now you-know-who will be getting ideas.
Looks good though and will be a great time saver!! 🙂
